A video presentation from Seth Godin from Google who talks about the “Permission marketing” and how to work out new ideas that get people talking about your brand. It’s a 48 minutes long video that provoked me in many aspects of how marketing should strive to tell stories, for people to engage in talking around and pass on the buzz.
Something I’ve been thinking hard lately is how to market differently our latest online service – portokal.net, customized t-shirts. Banner advertisement works as to bring in traffic which we don’t lack and from there on there is this problem of introducing a completely unknown web-online service that is nothing of a brilliant idea, but rather try to excel in quaility of the product offered and customer service. So far we’ve had quite a lot of sales after such a short period of starting, so now we will try offering every 20 orders a free t-shirt to the 21st customer and advertise each winner on the home page as to provoke more anxiety who might be the next winner and put more trust into the service as we seem seriously engaged at what we try to deliver.
